Folktale

There was an old woman. She lived by herself. She was famous like a woman who mocked everyone who came to her house for some help. Her wealth was plentiful but she was proud. And everyone wasn’t like her, so she had never had friends and neighbor. Although her house was so big, but she looked lazy because her house was so dirty and so dark.
Once upon, there was an old man came to her house to get a pail of water in her well. And suddenly Bagendit who always mocked everyone, saw him. So, she begun meeting him and shout him like bad person. Bagendit directed greeting the man with a pounder many times.
Therefore, that man was angry with her and said “I curse you, evil woman!” shouted the old man. Suddenly, the water gushed out of the well and downed the village. Thus, the people called it Situ Bagendit Lake.
That was folktale from west java. I known it when I elementary school. From that folktale had many benefit and meaning. We must care with all the people, because we life as social human.
